Brand development, illustration, & print design
Project ELLO focuses on helping caregivers build communication skills with their children through interactive and accessible resources. Designed for use during everyday routines like mealtime, grocery shopping, and laundry, these tools promote organic conversations that support early language learning.
The goal was to create visually engaging, inclusive materials that seamlessly fit into family routines, catering to diverse backgrounds. A key challenge was adapting these resources to align with an existing brand guide while ensuring cultural relevance through translations in three additional languages.

Design components:
• Conversation cards: Designed conversation cards for everyday activities, categorized by themes: mealtime, grocery shopping, laundry, and neighborhood. Each card included prompts and questions to make conversations interactive and educational.
• Laundry time coloring page: Created a custom coloring page for laundry time, designed to make the task more engaging and to prompt discussions around colors, shapes, and clothing items.
• All About ELLO booklet: Developed a booklet detailing Project ELLO’s mission, instructions for using the resources, and caregiver tips. The booklet was crafted to be informative and approachable, encouraging caregivers to make the most of ELLO's resources.
• Reusable grocery bag: Designed a branded, reusable grocery bag featuring ELLO visuals. This practical accessory doubled as a mobile promotional tool, encouraging caregivers to use the conversation cards during shopping trips.
• Posters and templates: Created promotional posters for display at partner locations to spread awareness of Project ELLO and its resources. Additionally, developed challenge templates to inspire caregivers to creatively incorporate language learning into daily tasks.
